Bali Travel and Hotels
Deluxe Room at the Hard Rock Hotel, Bali.
Bali, a world famous beach resort, populated mainly by Hindus and Aussie beach babes and surfing dudes. Yep, Bali is well known as the beach playground of the Aussies,
more beautiful and cheaper than Gold Coast.
The beaches are bustling, Kuta beach being the most commercialised and the busiest. Along the lanes of Kuta beach,
vendors offering homemake trinkets of all sorts, henna artists offering temporary tattoos and
hairdressers offer to braid your hair cheaply. Masseuse roam the beach offering cheap back massages.
Just remember to bargain, for the first quote is almost always exorbitantly high.
Just behind Kuta Square are lanes and lanes of shopping, from international brands like Benetton and Ocean Pacific to local brands. Eateries offering every different kind of food, from pizza to beers and hamburgers, to local nasi lemak and
seafood are everywhere. Macdonalds has a number of outlets in downtown Kuta.
While exploring the beach life of Bali, do take some time out to explore the quaint and exotic villages inland, in the volcanic mountainous region. Go mountain biking or white water rafting, and experience the beautiful mountains and peaceful village life.
Do take time out to visit Denpasar, the capital of Bali, and try the local produce. The mangos, in particular, are excellent. Juicy, sweet, succulent, you'll definitely be left wanting more.
Away from the beaches, take time to visit the inland regions of Bali, with beautiful mountain and volcanic scenery,
traditional culture abound. Visit Ubud, with generous rice terraces and its cool fresh, even fragrant air. Travel to Kintamani and admire its wild
untamed volcanic scenery.
Getting there
Bali boasts its own international airport at Denpasar, with Garuda and Qantas making frequent flights there. Taxis are a cheap and easy way of getting around.
